Pet burial in Melbourne
A resting place for your pet, and a place for you to visit
Pets E. Ternal is a dedicated pet cemetery in Narre Warren North, in Melbourne's south east. Your pet is laid to rest in their own plot in our lawn cemetery, marked with a granite or brass plaque, and you are welcome to come back whenever you like.

Why families choose burial
For many families, cremation does not feel right. They want their pet to rest in the earth, somewhere peaceful, and somewhere they can go back to. As one family told us, they wanted “a peaceful burial and a special place we could visit often.”
Our grounds are a gently sloping property surrounded by native trees and open skies, just under an hour from Melbourne's CBD. Families come to sit, bring flowers, and remember.
What happens, step by step
- Call or message us. Day or evening. We'll listen, answer your questions and explain every cost before anything is agreed.
- Bringing your pet to us. We can collect from your home or your vet, usually the same day, or you can bring your pet to us yourself.
- Choosing the place. We'll help you choose a plot. If you can, come and see the grounds first.
- The farewell. Your pet is wrapped in a soft shroud with a rose. A canopy and chairs are set up for your family, and you can take all the time you need.
- The plaque. A flat granite or brass plaque marks your pet's place, engraved with their name and your words.
- Coming back. Visit during daylight hours, as often as you like. We look after the grounds in between.
Caring for the grounds, and the annual fee
A burial plot has an annual maintenance fee. It is what keeps the lawns mown, the gardens tended and the whole place peaceful for every family who visits, year after year. We would rather be open about it than surprise you, so we explain the fee in writing before anything is agreed.
Prices depend on your pet's size, the plot and the plaque you choose. See how our pricing works, or ask us for the full price list.
Gentle on the land
Burials use natural wraps, and the plaques sit flat in the lawn, so the grounds stay open, green and calm. It feels like a garden, not a car park of headstones.
Thinking about the future?
If your pet is older or unwell, you can reserve a plot in advance, so there are no decisions to make on the hardest day.
